A Room Helper is a volunteer parent who helps their child's teacher by acting as a liaison between the teacher and the families as well as helping coordinate classroom events and communication.

Specific duties of a Room Helper includes:

  • Communication: Relaying essential announcements, reminders, and information about activities, events, and volunteer opportunities to families keeps the classroom wheels turning.
  • Classroom Parties:  Room Helpers assist the teacher in organizing these fun classroom parties. This may include coordinating volunteers, planning games and activities, and ordering food and supplies.
  • Volunteer Coordination:  It takes a village to support school-age kids. Room Helpers recruit volunteers to assist with reading sessions, art projects, field trips, and more.
  • PTO Assistance: Room Helpers assist the PTO communicate fundraising initiatives, such as Feather The Nest, promoting events like Glow Dance, and communicating important PTO announcements to families.

If there is a project or task that is needing assistance, teachers will submit requests to the PTO to activate the PTO Helpline!  We will then message parents who have opted in to the helpline to schedule time for them to come to the rescue!  Kinda like a PTO Bat Signal!
